Discovery phase
A discovery phase is a short, fixed-scope stage before development that defines goals, users, scope, architecture, risks and a reliable estimate.

Discovery replaces guesses with a plan. In a few weeks, the team and your stakeholders agree on what to build first, how it will work technically, what could go wrong and what it will realistically take. You own the result, whoever builds the product.
