Change request
A change request is a documented proposal to change agreed scope, with its cost and schedule impact estimated before anyone approves it.

Requirements change — that’s normal. A change request makes each change a conscious decision: what changes, why, what it costs and what it does to the date. Without it, small changes accumulate into budget overruns nobody decided on.
